Chickadeeds is a Maine-based nonprofit that organizes family-friendly volunteer events in partnership with local community groups. They reached out for help creating a website and brand materials that felt lighthearted, welcoming, and easy for parents and kids to navigate together.
We developed a warm, playful color palette—reds, oranges, and teals—that brings energy to the brand without overpowering event photography. The typography and layout choices were kept clean and approachable, with plenty of white space and simple navigation to keep the focus on upcoming events. From website design to brand assets, every element was built to support the spirit of community connection that drives Chickadeeds’ mission.
The Service Challenge Campaign
The service challenge campaign engages families through website pop-ups and event scheduling, serving as a call to action to participate in community service. We developed illustrations based on the idea that small ripples make waves, symbolizing the impact of individual actions.
To distinguish the campaign, we incorporated pink as a unique element exclusive to service campaign assets, ensuring it stands out from other brand materials.
